I know I have it better than a lot of people. I have an amazing boyfriend, a great family, I got to an awesome school, I have awesome friends, two great church families. I’m blessed I’m not going to lie. But sometimes I’m just not happy with things. I live miles away from my boyfriend. My church here in New Mexico is small and kinda dead, I live in a freakin small town where there is nothing to do, I live forever away from all my friends, I go through drama all the time with people, I deal with self-consciousness, anger issues, relationship problems, and I’m stubborn. I’ve had a bad past that I can’t always get over and my future doesn’t seem to be going originally planned. My life is not perfect. Seems like I’d be extremely happy all the time. Truth is we’re all not going to be happy all the time. We can be content and live with it but we’re not always going to be happy.
God puts things in our life to teach us the lessons we’re going to need. I’ve been taught love, joy, peace, patience,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,and self-control. Gal. 5:22, 23 Really does come in handy. The Bible isn’t just guidelines, words that we read and go “Yeah ok that would be a good thing to do.” It’s God talking to us and giving us rules, regulations, and commands for life. A daily devotion, a daily reading of this amazing work of God is needed. Though I must admit I have fallen behind on doing them. I’ve realized though that maybe that is my problem somedays. I’m not eating, spiritually that is. My dad always says you have three meals a day why is it so hard to eat God’s Word once a day. It’s so true. We complain about our life, our friend’s lives, and family’s lives. Why don’t we just go to the Word and go straight to God himself?
“Do not be anxious about anything,but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Phil 4:6
I might not be the perfect example of a Godly person but I hope my life and my testimony helps and influences people’s lives in a good way. I’ve been an influence in the past always the bad but I’ve changed it all around and I hope people have noticed that.
